After you have tried homemade hummus and discover how easy it is to make, you will have a hard time buying store bought hummus again. Once you have the ingredients on hand, it takes 10 minutes and tastes so delicious. You are in complete control of the texture and the flavors. If you are new to eating raw garlic, I recommend you start with 1-2 cloves as it may upset your stomach or you can roast it before blending.
Ingredients:
2 cans of Garbanzo Beans 15 oz each
1/3 cup of organic tahini
2-3 garlic cloves peeled (adjust to
taste or roast first for milder flavor)
1/2 tsp of sea salt
1/2 tsp of black pepper
2-3 Tbsp of lemon juice
1/8 cup of water
2-4 teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup of chives for garnish
Prepration:
Set chives aside. Drain and rinse garbanzo beans. Add all ingredients (except chives and olive oil) to food processor and blend. Slowly add olive oil to establish desired consistency. Plate then garnish with chives. Serve with cucumbers, carrots, pita chips or anything you love to dip.
Enjoy!
Awesome! Let me know what you think. I omitted the olive oil but found you don’t need it. Tastes great on its own. 💗
I can’t wait to try this one 😍
